In one week I will celebrate my 22nd birthday and then 6 days after that the Mr. and I will board a flight to Tennessee! I am so excited to go see my family and (finally) have everyone all together. It should be fun. I promise to blog about it!
The mr and I escaped for the weekend and went to the neighboring town to celebrate our anniversary. We soaked in the hot springs and enjoyed each other's company. We are in a interesting season in life right now. We are anticipating the day when we will become one, while enjoying the last of our independence. He has been working a lot and I have been plugging along at school so when we hang out it is peaceful and sweet. That Mr. of mine.. Goodness gracious! I smile just thinking about him! Oh, I almost forgot! For our anniversary the Mr. was gifted with his wedding band that he has been begging for, and I got the most beautiful aquamarine earrings!
Anyways, school has been moving right along. I am ready for a break. We made a battery out of lemons, wires, pennies and paper clips that powered a small alarm clock today. Yea, we have fun in elementary ed!
While I had some free time the other day I made a Christmas wreath with my friend C! She did most of the work and I made a mess in her room but, she still loves me! And my wreath is beautiful!
I received some criticism from a proffesor last week that was not constructive, respectful or kind. In all honesty, I struggled for a couple days with the things that this person had said about me. I began to question whether or not it was true. I struggled with the thoughts that this person had about me and my abilities, as well as my character. Like always, God encouraged my heart. I came across many verses that lessened the sting of the hurtful words. Every single time He shows me how much He loves me I am blown away. He cares for even the littlest things and I continue to watch in amazement. What an awesome Lord we serve.
I suppose I should go finish my homework for tomorrow.. or just continue watching tv.. Either way, goodbye for now!
Love,
The almost Mrs.
