As I rounded the corner and got to the top of the hill I saw that the valley had layers of thick grey fog. The farther down I drove, the thicker and grayer the fog got.
I had forgotten completely about the beautiful day I had originally seen. The one I had exclaimed about. I began to think about how bad the day would be if it stayed gray like this. Then I heard that still small voice over my blasting worship music. The voice that makes me stop what I'm doing..."this is like your life. You forget about me when things are gray. You believe you will be stuck in there. I am in that fog with you. Remember that beautiful day? Lean on me, I will show you that again."
What words could you possibly say after that? He loves me, He hears me and He wants me to trust him, lean on Him and love Him.
I thanked God in the best way I could for continually showing me his blessings and love. I thanked Him for using this opportunity. I prayed that I would trust His plan and His timing. I prayed that I would be lifted out of the fog of confusion, anger and unforgiveness that I allow myself to be in.
I am thankful. I am loved. I am a daughter of the most high. I am loved. I am cared for.
I am loved.
By the way... The day turned out like this.
Beautiful like it began
